Question for BJD owners:

Do people still buy OOAK artist painted dolls? I'd really like to buy a new doll to paint up and sell on, but the current marketplace doesn't seem suited for selling dolls that aren't marked down, regardless of the customization.

My mother bought Jeni and I a kettle for our house when we (fingers crossed!) move in together in September.

So? That is just more than a kettle. It's the first true indication that my mother has finally accepted that I'm gay. That kettle is a seal of approval. There simply are no words. I've never been this happy in my entire life.

Hello, everyone!

I've decided to start re-using my Livejournal as my personal blog & art dump. I was hoping tumblr would provide that platform for me, but on a more accessible level. But, I haven't found it quite as entertaining as what I'd hoped, and after quite a few people said they missed my LJ updates, it made sense to come back here. I always have liked LJ over any other online blog/diary website, plus you guys are always so lovely. I hope you can take me back! I will still post WIP's and sketches on tumblr, but they will be cross-posted from here first. As always, LJ is the place to be for most recent updates from myself.

Those of you who watch my tumblr may have noticed I've been knocking out BJD faceup commissions like they're going out of fashion. I'm heading back to Japan in October and need many additional pennies to fund it. It's also costing considerable amounts seeing Jeni every other week (though she's worth it ♥). I know a number of you out there are BJD owners, so if you're after a new look for your boy/girl, please check my DoA customization thread (members only), or my online portfolio for examples of past work.

Speaking of Jeni, things are still going amazingly well between us. We have our occasional spats, as all couples do, but it doesn't change my opinion of her. I can't invision the rest of my life without her. She's my soulmate.

Finally, I'm still in the process of responding to writer applications! I've pretty much chosen who I'd like to include in the project, but it's only curteous to reply to all applications, considering they took the time to apply in the first place. Quite honestly, I'm looking forward to sharing the burden of the project as it's become more of a loathe than a love situation. I love my boys, but like I've said before, I need the help telling their story. The sooner I get these emails written, the sooner their story can start!
